In 563 AD, the monk Columba journeyed to Iona to establish a great abbey, accompanied by a secret companion whose true nature would astound the pagan Picts. Before their eyes, the mysterious creature transformed into a vast, spectral raven.

From that day forth, he became Saint Corvus, the raven to Saint Columba's dove; a dark-winged companion to the holy man, forever bound to him in legend and mystery.

The intricate scene depicts a spectral raven and Dove soaring before a glowing moon, with a darkened gothic landscape beneath. The artwork is meticulously hand painted from the inside of the glass, making the creation of each bauble an incredibly delicate undertaking.

The result is a beautiful, almost otherworldly depth within the glass. And because every piece is individually painted by hand, no two baubles will ever be exactly the same. Each has its own subtle variations, making it a genuinely individual Alchemy decoration.

The classic Alchemy logo is painted on the reverse, while a black velvet ribbon and gold-tone cap provide the finishing details.

Crafted from high borosilicate glass, each Alchemy bauble is finished with a black velvet hanging ribbon and gold-tone alloy cap.
